London’s calling : Hotels

Updated: Jul 3, 2022

London is part of my childhood when I use to visit my grandparents in Cranley gardens, Muswell Hill. Its now coming back in full force as I visit my daughter Leana in centre London during her studies there.

I don’t have any family left there so I stay in different hotels according to where Leana lives (So far 3 different areas of London).

If you travel by Eurostar, register on Club Eurostar, their loyalty program and collect points each time you travel, you can even transfer points to other members.

Here is a list of great places I have stayed in by decreasing price order:

This hotel is on the South Bank, close to the Tate Modern. The prices vary with an average around 300£. You need to be on the lookout for good deals especially during the week days.

This boutique hotel is situated In Westminster, near Buckingham palace And Victoria station. The prices are around 200£. It’s a boutique hotel that feels more like a private member’s club. There are really details that make it one of my favourite, especially the eye mask.

Those hotels above are part of the I prefer Hotel rewards, so make sure you register for the best rates and you can collect points for rewards nights.

A really sweet townhouse boutique hotel in Belgravia. The prices start at 120£, a very good value for money. The service is impeccable. I need to point out there is no lift and some of the rooms are on the 4th floor, probably the only reason it’s a 3 star hotel.

This is a contemporary hotel with basic rooms near St Pancras and King’s cross. The prices start at 100£. It’s basic but clean, so a good choice for a few nights.
