My sister gave me this idea. She offered me a jar of homemade granola a few months ago and I have finally decided to make my own granola.
Ingredients:
300 gr of oatmeal
40 gr of pumpkin seeds
40 gr of sesame seeds
40 gr of pecan nuts (to be added at the end)
1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon
4 cl of vegetable oil - I used sunflower oil
50 g of maple syrup
20 g of golden syrup
20 g of liquid honey
Turn the oven on at 150 ° C.
First, mix in a bowl the oatmeal with all the different seeds and nuts, except the pecan nuts. You can choose to add others if you wish. Add the cinnamon.
Next, mix all the ‘liquid’ ingredients together.
And then, stir it all together to make a consistent paste. Spread the granola paste evenly on a baking sheet.
Put in the oven for 30 to 40 minutes and make sure you stir it from time to time till it’s crusty and golden.
Once the granola has cooled down you can store it in jars, that’s if you don’t have your kids around to eat it all 😉
It‘s perfect with yogourt, fruit or milk, for breakfast, tea or midnight snack. Enjoy!
